Find out what the Policing Pledge means for you
A set of national standards which tells you the level of service you can expect to receive from police forces has been launched as part of the Governments Green Paper.
The Policing Pledge, which came into effect on December 31st 2008, talks about ten areas of service and includes standards for answering calls promptly, how you can have a say over how your neighbourhood is policed, how you can expect to receive up to date information about local crime and how you will be supported if you are a victim of crime.
You can read the Policing Pledge in full by clicking here.
The good news for you if you live in Lancashire is that we have been working hard to become more citizen focused for a number of years and already meet the requirements of the Pledge in lots of ways.
Click here to find out how Lancashire Constabulary’s is delivering the Pledge.
A lot of what is contained in the Pledge is about Neighbourhood Policing and Lancashire has been recognised as the only force in the country to be ‘exceeding the standard’ in this area.
